Resistors - restricts the flow of electrons, protects components from too much electrons flowing through it.
*need a resistor on the end of every CAN bus
Pulse-width modulation (PWM) (don't use that anymore) - a method of controlling the average power or amplitude delivered by an electrical signal. Used to control the output of motors not using the CAN bus
Wire Gauges - Indicates the size of wires
- Smaller gauge (smaller number)
- Larger size
- Lower electrical resistance
- Greater load-carrying capacity -> better power quality
- We usually use:
- 2, 4 - battery
- 8, 10, 12 - Krakens 12, 14 - most of the wires on our robot
- 18, 22 - sensors
