- 2 GA battery crimps
- 2 GA ring terminal 1/4”
- Anderson Connector (SB 120A 600V)
- 2x Clear Heatshrink ¾” 3:1 (A2-¾-25’-X,CL)
- 2x Red Marine Heatshrink ½” (HS-½-02-164)
- 2x Black Marine Heatshrink ½” (HS-½-00-164)
Procedure
- Cut red and black wires to length
- Strip both sides to the pre-determined length
- Ring terminal wire side strip length: ⅝”
- Anderson Crimp wire side strip length ⅞”
- Cut heatshrink
- Red and Black heatshrink length 2”
- Clear heatshrink length 2 ¼”
- Number 16 die is for ring terminals
- Number 25 die is for anderson lugs
- Broad side of crimp die must be parallel from flat side of thing being crimped
- Set torque wrench to 70 inch pounds (#8 size)
- Set torque to 20 when done for the day
- Grass hopper nuts are oriented as follows: threaded side is pointing to the middle of the battery. Nut side is pointing away on either side. The ring terminals are on the inside of the battery lugs touching the grasshopper nut threaded side.
- Use paint pen to make orientation marks (2x on either side)
