Crimps: Tools that help attach metal connectors to wires (anderson, dupont, ferrules)

  • Ferrule Crimps: Crimps ferrules onto wires
  • Anderson Crimps: Crimps anderson connectors onto wires
  • Dupont/Molex Crimps:  Crimps dupont connectors onto wires


Wagos: A flathead screwdriver (wago is the brand)

  • Used to take wires off of slots -- VRM, PDH, Mini PDP, etc.
  • Can be used to pry VHB tape off of surfaces


Wire cutters (snips): Used for cutting wires

  • Works especially well for 10, 12, 14 gauge wires
  • Snips are more precise for 22 AWG wires


Wire strippers: Used to remove the rubber sheathing of wires and expose copper to the length needed 


Torque Wrenches: Used to screw in Kraken (a motor) terminal leads
